MQTT is a publish-subscribe messaging protocol commonly used to connect Internet of Things (IoT) applications. With the 6.6 release, Diffusion supports clients connecting with MQTT 5.0. This enables a wide range of IoT devices to connect directly to Diffusion, send and receive data, interact with other Diffusion clients, and benefit from Diffusion’s data wrangling features and rich security framework.

docker pull pushtechnology/docker-diffusion:VERSION

replacing VERSION with a version number, for example:

docker pull pushtechnology/docker-diffusion:6.6.1

Real-Time Messaging

Introduction to Diffusion Real-Time Messaging through a simple application using Diffusion Cloud.
A set of simple projects, illustrating production and consumption of messages to and from a Diffusion Cloud instance.
These JavaScript code examples enable users to interact in real-time across various rooms or topics. You can also use other programming languages from our SDKs, including iOS, Android, C, .NET, and more.

Lesson 1 code example introduces the concept of Publish and Subscribe to ‘Topics’ (data structures). In Diffusion, data is stored and distributed through Topics.

Lesson 2 code example introduces the concept of Time Series topic to hold a…

Here is an Introduction to Diffusion Real-Time Event Data Platform through a simple application using Diffusion Cloud and Redis Pub-Sub Server.

Redis is an open-source, in-memory data structure store, used as a database, cache, and message broker. Although very popular in the industry it comes with some fundamental limitations.

Using Diffusion Cloud we can extend the number of clients and connections that Redis can handle simultaneously, removing Redis pub-sub subscription limitations thanks to Diffusion.

This JavaScript code example will help you publish data in real-time from a public API to Redis, consume from it, and transform data on the fly…

Save your spots for our live webinar on September 23 and learn about Applying Quality-of-Service(QoS) for Event-Driven Applications. Here, Peter Hughes, Technical Product Manager , Push Technology will be speaking about:

  • Using a rule-based approach for applying QoS for event-driven application subscribers
  • Accommodating application and network bandwidth constraints
  • Using the Diffusion Pub-Sub platform capabilities for applying QoS rules
  • And more
